SEX AND THE CITY

One thing's for sure, if you're planning to watch it here in the Philippines... you definitely won't see the "sex" part. To bring the rating down to an R-13 rating, the movie was removed of all things unsavory, leaving the "city" without the sex...... which is perfectly alright because I didn't go to see the movie for that anyway. What bothers me is how the "cuts" were done. No editing whatsoever... no transition... no nothing. It was like they took a pair of scissors to the film and literally cut away what was inappropriate. Lame.

The movie itself was ok. I used to watch the show on HBO, but just sparingly after the 3rd season. They did a good job of introducing the characters and updating the audience during the start of the film. The entire cast is there, the humor is there, the fashion, New York... all ingredients for a great movie right there on the kitchen counter. However... the movie was about two and a half hours (two hours actually, sans cuts and credits) long, yet still, some of the scenes felt rushed and some felt dragging... they just never got the timing right IMO. This is what happens when you try to cram an entire season into a movie because this might be very well called Sex and the City Season 7.
